The Pickerington Violet Festival Board of Directors and the Parade Committee Chairperson, Diana Estep of ERA Orum Stair Realtors, cordially invite you to participate in the Violet Festival Parade. The Parade begins at 7:00pm on Friday evening July 25, 2008. The parade is one of the highlights of the Violet Festival and draws very large crowds. This is a great opportunity for local businesses and organizations to reach many people in our community and surrounding Central Ohio communities.

   The line-up of the parade begins at 6:00pm on Friday evening at the Pickerington Central High School, located between Lockville Road and Hill Road South near downtown Pickerington. The parade route is approximately two miles in length, beginning at the Pickerington Central High School, progressing through the Olde Village of Pickerington and ending at the Pickerington Ridgeview Junior High School on Hill Road South. When you submit your application, we will contact you if there are any special line-up instructions. When you arrive at the line-up site, simply follow the signs. Please park your vehicle away from the line-up to avoid congestion. We suggest the high school lot at the corner of Hill Road and Opportunity Way, or the junior high lot on Hill Road.

  You are permitted to provide hand-outs to the spectators of the parade, but throwing of items (like candy) into the crowd is strictly prohibited.

   Please incorporate the color purple, and, of course, VIOLETS in your parade entry, at least on your sign.
